Community Tables PA

Bringing Restaurants and Communities Together

Join us in our mission to make prepared meals accessible for all Pennsylvanians through the Restaurant Meals Program (RMP). Together, we can turn this vision into reality.

What is Community Tables PA?

Community Tables PA is an advocacy initiative working to bring the Restaurant Meals Program (RMP) to Pennsylvania. The RMP would allow SNAP recipients to use their benefits to purchase hot, prepared meals from local restaurants. Our goal is to mobilize legislators, restaurants, and the community to push for the adoption of this program, which would benefit both vulnerable populations and local businesses.

Although the program is not yet in place, we are actively campaigning to make it a reality. With your support, we can help Pennsylvanians gain access to nutritious meals and support independent restaurants.

How Does the Restaurant Meals Program Work?

The Restaurant Meals Program (RMP) would allow eligible SNAP recipients—such as seniors, individuals with disabilities, and people experiencing homelessness—to use their SNAP benefits to buy prepared meals at participating restaurants. Right now, we are advocating for the implementation of this program in Pennsylvania.

Community Tables PA is working with legislators, restaurants, and community members to build support for the RMP and push for policy changes that will bring this program to life.

How You Can Support the Cause

We need your support to make the Restaurant Meals Program a reality in Pennsylvania. This is a critical opportunity to address food insecurity while also supporting the independent restaurant industry. Whether you’re a legislator, community leader, organization, restaurant owner, or a SNAP beneficiary, your voice matters in this advocacy campaign.

Legislators can push for the policy changes needed to implement the program, community leaders and organizations can help raise awareness and mobilize support, restaurant owners can commit to providing prepared meals through the program, and SNAP beneficiaries can share their stories and demonstrate the urgent need for this initiative.

Together, we can build a more inclusive food system that benefits everyone.
